This one's for me

It wasn't till I'd finished this and was painting the edges that I saw the wood had a chip out of the side. How could I not have noticed that?? So I put it in my kitchen and I really love it.
It's in acrylics.

My New Outsider Art Paintings

Finished some more pieces and got them photographed today. I seem to be in a yellow mood these days, funny how that shifts all by itself!

Static Motion art

I just finished this piece yesterday and it was trouble!! I can't remember how many times it changed direction.

In frustration, I went and did some housework that I'd been ignoring for a while and then went back to the painting.

And this lovely disorganized picture appeared - Static Motion! I love outsider art!  Bread and Circuses

Homage to the pre-Raphaelites

I was painting randomly with acrylics on wood and just enjoying the looseness and not being too structural. Then I'd gone to make a coffee and it wasn't till I came back into the art room that I really saw it.

She just appeared!! The pre-Raphaelites are favourites of mine, and the girl who became famous as their supermodel was Lizzie Siddal - and I see her in this painting. Am I going mad??

It's in my Wee Art Things shop if you'd like more info.

Great things and new painting

I had a really good time at the scrap store - very fine wool in olive green, fabrics, sewing supplies, and on and on... having to find space to put it all away made me have a clear-out of stuff I'll never use again and I have a big bag ready for the charity shop.

And I finished a painting which I listed on ETSY it's an expressionist look at seedlings:

My latest painting - landscape

Here's an imaginary view of Scottish mountains, almost surreal! It's listed here on ETSY if you'd like to see more pictures.Mountains
