Sad News

Wanted to let you know why I've not been around for quite a few days. My dear mother came to stay with me for a few days and became very ill. She is now very close to passing away. I am feeling bereft.

Abstract Painting Video by Nubia

I came across this most beautiful video on Youtube. I find it utterly enthralling. Even Nubia's voice is mesmerizing!!

The artist lives in the US and I was tinkering with the idea of going there to take a course with her. But for many reasons that just isn't possible.

So I asked her if she could come to Edinburgh and was so thrilled for her to be enthusiastic. It's still very tentative - probably over two weekends - but if I can find a minimum of 10 students per weekend, it could happen.

If you, or anyone you know, is interested, please get in touch (email link on my profile).

I'm Published in Sew Somerset

My copy of Sew Somerset summer 2011 has finally arrived.
My submission has been publsished and I'm honoured to be among such talented artists.
I made what they've called "Sewn Sacks" using dyed muslin and TAP (Transfer Artist Paper)
sleeves for Ipod or Iphone, or many other uses.

My New Outsider Art Paintings

Finished some more pieces and got them photographed today. I seem to be in a yellow mood these days, funny how that shifts all by itself!
