How much?

Today, I took my chiming clock to be repaired. The last time it was overhauled I paid £45. Imagine my horror when I was told that they would prepare an estimate which would be around £300. And I have 2 other beautiful clocks which also don't work -- but they will probably be seen and not heard!!

Now, to take my mind off all this I made some ATCs and they are on ebay ::

cabinet cards

Been ill this week but feeling great and have renewed energy now. I came across a very old album filled with cabinet cards so thought I'd have a go at altering them. The first three are now on ebay and here they are = the album pages are also decorated, but that's another story!

Another painting

I did this watercolour a long time ago - it's in tribute to one of my favourite artists 'Modigliani'. Another of my most favourite contemporary artists is Shirley Trevena, you can see her art here Trevena. Her style is so free and yet controlled at the same time. She uses unconventional methods such as sharpened twigs to draw through wet paint.

More Crazy Quilties

I've listed a couple of crazy quilties which I've had for a while - just added pearls and beads and things and had a really enjoyable day punctuated with several cups of the good brew. They are here on ebay - hope you like them!

little cake tins

I found these little "petits fours" vintage cake tins at a Fair and thought they'd like to be given a second chance. So I made the first one into this and it's on ebay . It was hard to scan and looks more vibrant in real life.

What are these?

I was at an Antique and Collectors Fair yesterday and amongst the things I bought are these. At first I thought they had something to do with lace making but the ads. are for beer (the other one says 'and now for a Worthington'). Or maybe they're for fishing?? Does anyone recognize them?

Angel Collage

I've made an Angel Collage by mixing my favourite things - paper and fabric. I just love stitching fabric to paper -  it feels like I'm breaking the rules and that's pure fun. It's on ebay and here it is:

Feeling a bit jaded today and taking it easy but I wanted to list some 'Art Squared' that I had ready. They're here on ebay. Ebay is a bit like computers, when it works well, life is wonderful - but when it's a downright nuisance, they are hell. Maybe it's because I'm tired, who knows?

This was an experiment - painting with oils on brown packing paper - came out fine. I christened her "Nellie".
