Saying hello for the last time in 2008

It's been a busy time with lots of feasting and bubbly and with all my children together - sounds like Old Mother Hubbard but I have only 3 daughters and lots of grandchildren - so it was great!

I feel a kind of impatience to get on with things now and abslutely itching to start painting again - had to put it all away so as we could use the dining room. And my mother (93) has decided to go into a care home, found a lovely place run by the Little Sisters of the Poor, and we're just waiting for the date. So all in all there's plenty to keep me occupied.

I wish you all a really blessed New Year.

Ciao, Evie xx

More Time

I've been in a sort of limbo since putting my Etsy shops on hold. I'm really amazed at how much time I'm saving and have put it to good use. Here's a fabric piece I made called 'A Wee Garden'.Wee garden

I'm still trying to build my new art website - it's a tricky process. And I've been painting again, mostly acrylics with a bit of ink, chalk, and pencil. I have 5 canvases not quite finished but if I don't launch my new website, I've nowhere to show them.

It's absolutely freezing here and I only go out for necessities so I have heaps of time for art and enjoying it immensely. Some new books arrived yesterday from Amazon and I need to get their link up here too so I can share with you.

Decision Time

There's been another bank interest cut today in the UK and the pound sterling is now so weak that I decided to put all my items in both Etsy shops on hold. The UK Etsy shops are getting hammered as we are losing out on our item price and the postage too which HAS to be in US$ and it's no longer an up and down thing, it's just down. Just can't do this any more for the time being.

I am going to try and set up a shop here on my blog - that could be a long process as my skills are virtually non-existent.

On a brighter note, I've done most of my Christmas present shopping :-)
