Do I Have to?

My mother will be 95 on 4 May and she's coming for a birthday lunch. But that means that I will have to return the dining room to its real purpose - but where oh where do I put all my painting gear???????????
My mother is amazing for her age (hope it's in the genes!) the only arthritis she has is in one thumb! She was beautiful and was followed by a talent scout to my grandfather's restaurant asking that she be allowed to have a screen text. He was very quickly shown the door LOL. I've been looking for a early photo of my mother - will try to post one soon.

What's wrong/right with it?

I've been working on a painting for a while now - little additions here and there. But as one artist said 'every time you change even just one thing, you're faced with new problems'. So very true!

There's a sort of window but I didn't know how to give it focus. I'd used a heavy book to straighten out another painting and noticed some dried flowers in it - bingo - eureka moment - that's just what I needed, transparency of the petals and subtle colours were spot on. So all's well!!
